To improve the qualities of transparency, accountability and fairness in the application of good corporate governance, the Company has communicated and applied a violation reporting system (Whistle Blowing Policy – WBP) to handle all complaints, accusations and reports from both internal and external parties.
This WBP is expected to be effective in encouraging public and employee participation in having the courage to act to prevent fraud and corruption and report such acts to the parties that can handle it.
The aims of the WBP include:
Providing a forum and reference for complainants to submit their allegations or irregularities or violations of the Company’s policies and provisions as well as regulations and legislation.
To create a complaints handling system that is reliable, transparent, safe and responsible.
As part of internal control.
One of the most effective methods to prevent and combat practices contrary to Good Governance
practices is through a mechanism to report violations (whistle blowing system).
This violation reporting system is expected to create a positive climate to encourage the reporting of violations that cause financial and non-financial loss that can damage the Company’s image; reduce loss resulting from violations through early detection; and prevent the possibility of problems occurring due to violations, as well as improve the Company’s image.
The Company has provided a medium for reporting, set reporting procedures, including clarifying types of acts that can be reported, including corruption, fraud, dishonesty, legal violations, violations of applicable regulations, violations of the code of conduct or the norms of general manners, violations of procedure and acts that can cause financial or non-financial loss to the Company.
The Company guarantees the confidentiality of complainants, except where disclosure is required in relation to a report or investigation being conducted by the authorities. The Company will even give appropriate awards for reporting proven to be truthful and where the complainant is not an involved party.
Whistle Blower Protection
The Company continues to be committed to protecting whistle blowers who act in good faith and the company will comply with all related legislation and best practice corporate governance in the implementation of this reporting system. Employees who whistle blow in good faith will be protected from being dismissed, demoted, harassed and discriminated against in all forms and the recording of disadvantageous notes in their personal files.
